Social activist Bhandari sets up revolving fund of Rs 1.1 million

  • Dhangadhi, May 11: 
Social worker Badrinath Bhandari has set up a revolving fund of Rs 1.1 million amidst a programme organized on Wednesday to mark his 92nd birth anniversary. 

The interest received from the revolving fund would be spent to annually honour a literary figure having contributions to the enrichment of art, literature and culture. 

The award winner would receive Rs 111,111. At the function organized by Far-Western Literary Society, its founder Yagya Raj Yatri lauded social worker Bhandari for his initiative to set up a revolving fund. 

A resident of Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolis-2, Bhandari earlier had also contributed to various sectors including educational development of the region.
